SURFmedia
SURFmedia is an online media platform for sharing audiovisual material. Watching and sharing videos, creating live broadcasts... it’s all possible.
Important: The SURFmedia service will no longer be provided after 31
December 2012.
What is it?
The use of audio and video has become indispensable in education. It can clarify and liven up lectures, enable students to “attend” lectures live or watch them on demand, and enhance research, for example by showing HD videos of surgery.
SURFmedia is SURFnet’s online media platform and makes all this possible in a very simple manner. SURFmedia comprises a large collection of audiovisual material that can be easily uploaded and shared with other users. It’s also possible to create and watch live broadcasts, and to share know-how and experience by means of audio and video.
Who is it for?
SURFmedia is available free of charge to staff and students at institutions connected to SURFnet. Institutions do not need to apply for the service and users can simply log in from their own institutional account. To do so, go to the SURFMedia site (Dutch).
