VIDEO INNOVATION

Video innovation

The learning environment of the future will be even more oriented towards audio and video than at present. Young people are growing up with moving images on television, the Internet, and games. This has repercussions for the way instructors transfer knowledge to their pupils and students and for how young people construct and record knowledge themselves.

It is not only being able to record lessons, lectures, and presentations that is becoming increasingly important but also storing and playing recorded videos (including on mobile devices). How can we make it easy for educational institutions to utilise video? And how can moving images supplement or replace learning materials, which have traditionally focused very much on text? These are some of the questions explored by the SURFnet/Kennisnet Innovation Programme.
