Roadmap

SURFfederatie supports the following interfaces:

• A-Select/Cross 1.5.x (for identity providers and service providers)
• Shibboleth 1.3 (for service providers)
• SAML 2.0 (for identity providers and service providers)
• WS-Federation/ADFS 1.0 (for identity providers and service providers)

This means that when connecting to SURFfederatie, identity providers and service providers can choose from the following products (amongst others):

• A-Select (1.5.x)
• SimpleSAMLphp (0.5 and higher)
• Novell Access Manager (SAML 2.0)
• Oracle federation Manager (SAML 2.0)
• Microsoft Server 2003 (ADFS)
• Shibboleth (1.3) (only for service providers)
• IBM Tivoli (SAML 2.0)
• PingFederate (SAML 2.0, ADFS)
• HP OpenView Select Federation (SAML 2.0)
• Symlabs Federated Identity Suite (SAML 2.0)

They can also choose other products that support the SAML 2.0 and/or the WS federation standards.
