Connection technology

NetherLight members can use various types of optical equipment when connecting to NetherLight. Both SONET/SDH and Ethernet are supported.

Currently, the following interface types can be used to establish a connection to  NetherLight:

• Optical 1000BASE-LX (1310 nm)
• Optical 1000BASE-SX (850 nm)
• Optical 10GBASE-LR (1310 nm LAN PHY)
• Optical 10GBASE-LR (1310 nm WAN PHY)
• Optical STM-64/OC-192c LR (1550 nm) 
• Optical STM-64/OC-192c SR (1310 nm)

Other interface types may be possible upon request.
